Arthritis Exercises: Knee Rotation


With your feet together, bend your waist to rest your hands on your knees. Gently rub them to warm them. Keeping the palms centered on the upper edge of the kneecaps, bend the knees to make a circle, pushing to your left side, then surrounding them forward, to the right side, and then re-straightening. Repeat three times in both directions. Then, keeping the knees together, bend them forward and then separate them on each side, circling towards the center while stretching the legs. Repeat three times. Invert the direction of the circles and repeat three more times. Exhale when your knees tilt, inhale when straightening your legs.
