More than 180 million people in India suffer from arthritis, says the Arthritis-India website. Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints and can affect one of the multiple joints. While there are more than 100 types of arthritis, the two most common types are osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Although the condition is seen in people older than 65 years, it can also develop in children and adolescents. In addition to physical therapy and regular medications, doctors claim that cycling can help you deal with arthritis pain in a better way. "Non-impact activities such as cycling are one of the most efficient ways to prevent not only arthritis but also to slow it down." Strengthens the central muscles of the legs without any impact, "says Dr. Aditya Khemka, orthopedic consultant at Hinduja Healthcare Surgical.
