Tips on how to prevent arthritis.
Arthritis is inflammation of the joints that causes pain and stiffness. We may not be aware of this, but arthritis begins at an early age – 30 or 40, or even younger. In the most common form, osteoarthritis, cartilage in the knee and joints loses elasticity and wears out. When this is only beginning to occur, there is no pain because the cartilage does not have nerve endings. By the time it starts to ache (when the ligaments are stretched excessively and the bones rub together), the damage to the cartilage will be quite far away. At that point, it will be too late to do anything about it. The good thing is that arthritis can be delayed, or its onset avoided for some time, if action is taken while the damage has not yet occurred. That is why it is important to take these steps on how to prevent arthritis.
