Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more of your joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are pain and stiffness in the joints, which usually get worse with age. K24 met with Tania Njeri, 14, from the Lanet farm on the outskirts of the city of Nakuru. She was diagnosed with arthritis in late 2011. When she realized she was suffering from the disease, she was preparing to enter class eight. She says that the task ahead of her, that she was getting good grades and joining a national school, could not easily choke on her condition. Tania got 375 points and was the third at her school in the KCPE exams last year. Tania has a dream in life. Tania is also appealing to the Ministry of Education to help children with special cases like her. If you feel pain and stiffness in your body or have trouble moving, you may have arthritis. It is a condition that affects everyone. However, early and accurate diagnosis can help prevent irreversible damage and disability.
