It will be maintained as it was diagnosed before pregnancy, 23% shows worsening symptoms. Few people will show a worsening of symptoms after childbirth in the postpartum phase, so important is that women should plan if they are a patient with psoriatic arthritis, plan their pregnancy together with their gynecologist and their obstetrician. . You should plan your pregnancy in the remission phase because common medications used to treat psoriatic arthritis can be used during pregnancy and you should also take high doses of folic acid because these women are at an increased risk of gestational diabetes, growth restriction intrauterine, hypertension or there may be a worsening of symptoms. Then they should plan the pregnancy only in the remission phase. Normally the treatments used for psoriatic arthritis in pregnancy are topical treatment with emollients, sometimes steroids are also used, but a woman or a lady should be careful with the use of steroids for chemical application since the excessive application of steroids It can relieve symptoms. but its absorption can cause harm to the fetus or harm to the fetus. Sometimes we use ultraviolet or UVB phototherapy also for this purpose.
